So just what is proper hair cut etiquette? Here are some basic rules to help make your visit more productive.

Don't be afraid to speak up and let operator know what you want. Oftentimes people assume that the beautician can look at the persons hair and determine how they want it cut. While this may be true to an extent, the longer you go between cuts the harder it is to distinguish your personal style. Speak up and let them know.

Ask the operator what size clipper blades they are using and feel free to request the same the next time you come in. For example you may prefer a No. 2 on the side and a No. 4 on the top. Keep in mind that the operators technique plays a big part in how the clipper functions so when you have a new operator it's good practice to have them start with a larger blade and work down to your preferred length.

When getting color or other advanced treatment be sure and ask the beautician the about the color and process used so it may be duplicated the next time you come in. We may request that you fill in a service card with your name and number so we can keep a record of your preferences and color settings.

We are a walk-in shop however it is best if you call ahead and schedule a time for perms, color, highlights, etc. This ensures that we staff accordingly to accommodate you and the other customers. It also allows us time to stock any special supplies such as treatments or particular color mixes.

We expect our operators to treat each customer with respect and to listen to their requests and direction. But the old adage that the customer is always right is not always true. Sometimes what we want and what we ask for are different things. Talk it out with the operator to make certain you are on the same page and understand each other. We want you to be happy with the results.

Top Cuts maintains a multi-tiered security system to ensure that our customers and our personnel have a safe environment. Unruly or lewd behavior is not acceptable and we reserve the right to deny service or remove disorderly persons from the premises.

If you have a complaint about our service please let the operator or manager know right away. You may call 817-466-4493 during normal business hours, message anytime from the contacts page of this website or, email directly to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
